What would be the best way to start a feeder system for a varsity basketball program?

I have heard a lot of people talking on here about how having a strong feeder system for football works. I got to thinking....how would you develop a strong feeder system for your basketball program? What time of year would be good to have it and where would you have it at? Recreation leagues are good for a county but it will not help a program for a specific school at all. Does anyone catch my drift?

Twin Springs has had the same coach for at the very least 15 years get they elementary kids from Dungannon and Nickelsville together and have a traveling team from the time they are in about fifth grade on. That seems to have worked pretty well.

Plus they always bring back former players (Stacy Ervin, Matt Bays, Tyler Webb) to have basketball camps and stuff to spark interest.

If your talking about Doug, try probably 20 years.

Yeah I know he's been doing it for a long time, as long as I can remember. He is a pretty big part of the TS basketball program that never gets mentioned.

He could have been a great high school coach if he could have somehow gotten the job. He still could, the man knows basketball.
